Free Brisbane Business Directory - Free Online Advertising in Brisbane

Brisbane has been inhabited by humans for a long time. In fact, some of the oldest recorded artefacts indicate human settlement on North Stradbroke Island about 20,000 years ago. By comparison, modern recorded history began in Brisbane in 1799, when the British surveyed the area - looking for another place to start a penal colony funnily enough. That didn't work out though, and what we now know as Brisbane began to take shape. Over the years Brisbane has faced a number of challenges, from huge floods on several occasions, to being home to American allied forces in World War 2, to name but a few.

With a long liveable history like that, it should be no surprise then that Brisbane has turned out to be a pretty awesome place.

What makes Brisbane such an awesome place to live?

With a lovely warm climate, strong agricultural production in surrounding areas driving industry and flowing on to employment, and stunning natural surroundings, today, Brisbane is Australia's third most populated area.

Blessed with some of the best beaches in the world and with world class parks and natural attractions close by - such as the Great Barrier Reef - Brisbane has become the gateway to one of the world's best tourist destinations. With that, the hospitality industry in Brisbane has boomed. This blog is all about hospitality and related services too - well, a part of this blog is anyway, so if your business is in hospitality or provides services to people, read on!

Notable Places in Brisbane

Looking for things to do or places to go in Brissy? There are quite a few to choose from - in fact we have a whole listing page for things to do in Brisbane. We will cover a small number of them here. Starting with family friendly, lets talk South Bank. Also known as The Cultural Precinct, the South Bank of the Brisbane River is home to the Queensland Art Gallery, as well as the Queensland Museum of Modern Art, the Performing Arts Centre, and the State Library. Cap that off with the gorgeous South Bank Parklands (a great spot for a family picnic) and you have the makings of many a family friendly day of adventure.

What Suburbs Does This Business Directory Cover?

We cover all of Brisbane. We have included a brief list of the Suburbs in Brisbane. If your business is located in or services these suburbs please feel free to submit a listing on the link below:

Brisbane is has expanded a lot since 1799. Today there are about 190 suburbs in Metropolitan Brisbane. Over the years, these have been loosely arranged into local parlance according to where they sit in relation to the three major landmarks. These three landmarks are the coast, the CBD, and of course the Brisbane River. Northern burbs mean north of the river. Bayside suburbs are close to the coast regardless of whether they are relative to the River. Southern suburbs are usually south of the river...unless...they are Western suburbs. Make sense? Simples!

What types of services in the Brisbane area are on this Blog?
Glad you asked. Lots. Loads. Heaps. We have a background in the hospitality and wedding industry so we have started there but will be adding more as we go along.

What this means is that if you have a business, check out our posts. If you see one that matches your industry, for example, wedding dress shops on the Gold Coast, then use the submit a listing request to tell us about it.

If you can't see an industry that matches, not a problem. Use the same link but let us know there isn't a post covering that area. We'll check your information out, and if it meets our quality expectations, we will place it in the queue to be posted.

Cheers!

LIST YOUR BUSINESS HERE

Help us to grow! This is a directory that wants to grow. Its edited and curated by humans. And we can only research great businesses like yours at a certain rate.

Its this simple. The more people that send in listing requests, the more great businesses and service providers that we find out about faster - and once we know what your business does, we can tell other people about it. That's how these things work.

So if you would like to advertise your business for free online take the time to write us an email.

Ideally we'd like you to write us a description of your business, the longer the better. The more detail you put in the more we can share.

Tip 1: Use a catchy title that "sells" your business to potential customers

Tip 2: Great photos also help. If a photo isn't all that great it can actually be counter productive. So make sure you choose good photos!

Tip 3: Make sure you tell us where your business is or the areas it operates in. If you are in New Farm, for example, but a huge percentage of your customers come from Fortitude Valley, for example, we can make sure your listing is tagged for both areas.

Tip 4: There is no time like the present. The world is full of people who say "if only I had..." Give it a go and help us to grow - send in your free business advertising in Brisbane listing request today!

What are you waiting for?
