 Frequently Asked Questions Page

Thanks for stopping by our FAQ page. I

We do get rather a lot of emails, so to keep things manageable, and in the interests of sanity, f you have a question, please check the FAQ page before posting a comment or sending us an email.

There is an excellent chance that the question you are asking has been asked before, by quite a few people. If that's the case, we will have shared it here.

What kind of industries do you list on this blog?

All kinds. Primarily, we work with wedding related businesses and services, but when we have enough businesses of one type, we could list any business or service category.

Do you charge to list a business on this blog?

No - its absolutely 100 free. If that changes we will let you know, although we are hoping to keep it that way.

Why is there Google advertising on the blog as well as listings?

Blogging takes time. And of course, costs us time and money. We run ads for two reasons. One is to support businesses that would like to advertise in an area where there is relevant content. The other reason is that it's nice to be rewarded - if only a little bit - for the work our team does.

Are your listings reviews?

No. The information on each business is as it was provided to us. Remember, just because one person really really liked a business, or the owner is super proud of it, as they should be, you need to do your own research, perhaps even inspect a venue or review websites of suppliers before committing to a purchase. That's just common sense!

How do I list my business so more customers can find me?

It's actually pretty simple to ask us to add your business to our blog. First, it's a good idea to search the blog to see if we have a category that matches your business, in the area that your business operates in.

Then, use the suggest a listing link - that you will find all over the place on this blog, to let us know you would like to add your business.

If we have a category and location that you would like to be added to, then tell us what the category is as a part of sending us your free business listing request.

How much information should I provide about my business?

You can provide as much or as little information as you like. Remember though, the more you can tell us about your business, the more we can share with our site visitors.

A bare minimum would consist of your business name, address, website, and a description of the services or experiences that your business provides. A minimum of 300 words is recommended, although more is fine.

We may need to edit your content for readability and to suit the overall blog theme.

No adult type businesses or services will be accepted for a free listing - or any kind of listing - so please don't send us those.

Should I send Photos?

Yes please. Only send photos that your business customers will like though. Photos of your premises, products or similar. No photos with people's faces in them or other identifiable information, such as license plates etc will be accepted.

What size photos should  I send?

Generally speaking, the better the resolution the better the photo. So please send as photos that are large enough to show case the aspects of your business, service or products that you would like the buying public to know about.

If the files are excessively large, we will resize them, if necessary, in order to give our site visitors the best website load times possible, without compromising on image quality.
